When an order is processed via Shiprocket, a Master AWB number is generated. The layout and format of this number depend on the specific carrier handling the package:

  • Standard Numeric AWB Usually a 10 to 15-digit purely numeric identifier. This is shared by the merchant via order confirmations, SMS, or dispatch emails.

What is RTO in Shiprocket shipments?

RTO (Return to Origin) happens when a package cannot be delivered even after multiple attempts (usually 3 attempts) or if the customer refuses a cash-on-delivery package. The parcel is then sent back to the seller.
