Canadian parcel carrier

Nationex Tracking

Nationex is a Canadian parcel carrier founded in Quebec in 1980 and still headquartered there, with its main sorting centre in St-Hubert on Montreal's south shore. It runs its own depots across Quebec and Ontario and reaches the rest of Canada through its network and partner carriers, carrying business-to-business freight and the retail parcels its customers ship to households.

Track91 reads the shipment Nationex publishes for your number and lays the scans out newest first, each with the depot town it was filed in. Nationex writes its scans as plain wall clocks with no time zone, so Track91 reads them in the carrier's own Eastern clock and only claims a different zone for the scans filed at your own address, where the postcode names the province. Nationex official tracking.

Nationex Services

Which service a shipment was booked on shapes the journey you see in the timeline. Coverage, cut-off times and surcharges should be confirmed with Nationex or with the sender.

Standard ground parcel

The service most Nationex shipments travel on. A driver collects the parcel from the sender, the sorting centre rails it overnight, and the depot nearest the recipient puts it on a delivery van. The timeline shows a pickup scan, one or more depot scans and the delivery.

Residential delivery

Retail parcels delivered to a home address. Where no signature is required the driver leaves the parcel at the front door or in the porch and photographs it, and the delivery scan names the spot it was left. A round that comes back files an unable to complete the delivery scan.

Multi-parcel shipments

One shipment number can cover several parcels, each with its own two-digit position and its own scans. Tracking the shipment number shows the whole consignment; tracking a single parcel number shows only that box. Nationex reports a partial pickup or partial delivery separately.

Partner-carried final leg

Addresses outside Nationex's own delivery territory are passed to a partner carrier for the last leg. The timeline files a parcel handed to partner scan, after which Nationex records little until the delivery is confirmed back against the same shipment number.

Scheduled pickups

A collection booked at the sender's premises. The timeline shows a driver in route for pickup scan before the parcel exists in the network, then a pickup confirmed scan once it is on the van. A booking the sender never hands over stays as a parcel waiting for pick-up scan.

Proof of delivery

Nationex photographs a doorstep delivery and captures a signature where one is required. The picture taken scan sits beside the delivery scan and moves nothing on its own; a delivery marked SNR was handed over with no signature required.

Nationex Tracking Number Format

Shipment number

123456789

Nine plain digits with no prefix and no check digit. This is the number printed on the label and quoted in dispatch emails, and it covers every parcel in the shipment. Because nine bare digits are a shape many carriers use, Track91 only looks Nationex up when you name the carrier.

Parcel number

12345678901

Eleven digits: the shipment's nine digits followed by the parcel's two-digit position within it, so the first box of shipment 123456789 is 12345678901. Tracking a parcel number narrows the timeline to that box alone rather than to the whole consignment.

Expected Delivery Times

Quebec and Ontario

Nationex's home territory, served by its own depots. Most parcels collected on a business day are delivered within one to three business days, and a Montreal-to-Montreal parcel often the next morning.

The rest of Canada

Western Canada, the Prairies and the Atlantic provinces normally take three to five business days, longer where a partner carrier handles the last leg or the postal code is remote. Nationex publishes its own expected day once the parcel has been collected.

Weekends, provincial holidays and winter storms all push these timings out. The expected day Nationex publishes is its own estimate rather than a guarantee, and Track91 stops showing it once a later scan has overtaken it.

Nationex Status Glossary

Shipment created / Création de l'envoi

The label exists in Nationex's system. The parcel has not been collected and no driver is on the way yet.

Driver in route for pickup / Livreur en route pour cueillette

A driver is on the way to the sender. The parcel is still with the sender at this point.

Pickup of the parcel confirmed / Ramassage du colis confirmé

Nationex now has the parcel. The scan names the town the driver collected it in.

Parcel scanned / Scan du colis

A scan inside the network: first at the sorting centre the parcel is railed through, later at the depot that will deliver it.

Parcel out for delivery / Colis en route pour livraison

The parcel is on a delivery van for the day. A second one on a later day means an earlier round came back with it.

Unable to complete the delivery / Impossible de compléter la livraison

A delivery attempt failed and the parcel went back to the depot. Nationex names no reason on the scan itself.

Delivery completed / Livraison complétée

The parcel was handed over, or left at the front door or in the porch where the wording says so. A drop-off location delivery closed at a counter instead.

Parcel waiting for pick-up by the sender

Nationex has the label but not the parcel, and files the scan again each day it waits for the sender to hand it over.

Parcel handed to partner / Colis remis au partenaire

A partner carrier is taking the parcel on to the recipient. Nationex's own scans largely stop at this point.

Attention / Incident

The shipment state Nationex sets when a delivery could not be completed because the parcel is damaged and under analysis.

Understanding these updates

Track91 provides live shipment status and real-time tracking updates through its carrier integrations. Results may be cached between updates, so check the carrier event timestamps when comparing progress. Track91 is independent of Nationex. Frequently Asked Questions

Help with Nationex tracking, delays and deliveries. Select a question to read the answer.

How do I track a Nationex shipment?

Enter the Nationex shipment number from your dispatch email, delivery notice or order confirmation into the tracking field on Track91. The newest depot scan appears first, with the dated history below it and the town each scan was filed in. No account, password or login is needed to see it.

What is the Nationex tracking number format?

A Nationex shipment number is nine plain digits, for example 123456789. A single parcel inside that shipment adds its two-digit position, giving eleven digits such as 12345678901. There is no check digit and no letter prefix, so copy every digit exactly as the label prints it.

How long does Nationex take to deliver a parcel?

Most Nationex shipments inside Quebec and Ontario move in one to three business days. Western Canada and the Atlantic provinces usually take three to five business days, and remote postal codes longer. Nationex publishes an expected delivery day once the parcel is collected, and Track91 shows it until a later scan overtakes it.

What does parcel scanned mean on Nationex tracking?

It is the scan Nationex files when a parcel passes through one of its buildings. The first one is normally the sorting centre the parcel is railed through, and a later one is the depot that will deliver it. Neither means the parcel is out for delivery; a separate scan is filed when a driver loads it.

Why is my Nationex tracking not updating?

Every update depends on a new scan being filed against the number. A sender can create a label days before handing the parcel over, and a parcel crossing the country can travel overnight with no scan in between. Compare the last scan time with the day the sender dispatched the shipment before raising an enquiry.

What does parcel waiting for pick-up by the sender mean?

Nationex has the label but not the parcel. The scan repeats once a day while it waits for the sender to hand the shipment over. If the sender never does, Nationex eventually files a parcel not received from shipper scan and cancels the shipment, so contact the seller rather than the carrier.

Can I track a Nationex parcel without a tracking number?

Not on Track91. The lookup needs the shipment or parcel number, because that is the only identifier the tracking service resolves for us. Check your dispatch email, the delivery notice left at your door or your order history. A name, phone number or postcode cannot be substituted for the number.

What happens when Nationex hands my parcel to a partner?

Nationex covers much of Canada itself and passes the rest to a partner carrier for the final leg. When it files a parcel handed to partner scan, its own scans stop there and the remaining movement is recorded by that carrier instead. The delivery is still confirmed back on the Nationex number.

What should I do if my Nationex parcel is delayed or missing?

Contact Nationex through its official customer service, or ask the sender to open an enquiry using the shipment number. Have the last scan, its town and its time ready. The sender holds the shipping contract, so a claim for a lost or damaged parcel usually has to come from them rather than from you.

Is Track91 affiliated with Nationex?

No. Track91 is an independent tracking service and is not affiliated with Nationex or any Canadian carrier. It shows the shipment information Nationex publishes for a number, for convenience. Redelivery, address changes, pickup arrangements and claims must be handled by Nationex or by the sender.
