Once you place an order on the myAadhaar portal, you receive a 14-character Service Request Number (SRN). UIDAI separates card production from postal delivery: it says printed PVC cards are handed to the Department of Posts within five working days, excluding the request date. How Your Aadhaar PVC Card Order Progresses
Every Aadhaar PVC card order moves through a series of stages at UIDAI before it reaches your doorstep. Here is what each stage means when you track your SRN.
Printing
Your card is printed at a UIDAI-empanelled facility with security features such as a hologram, guilloché pattern, ghost image, and QR code.
Dispatched via India Post
The printed card is handed over to India Post with a Speed Post AWB number, which you can use to follow the delivery journey to your address.
Delivered
India Post delivers the card to the address registered in your Aadhaar. UIDAI's five-working-day period concerns handover to India Post, excluding the request date. Postal transit is additional and follows Speed Post delivery norms.
SRN Format
The Service Request Number (SRN) is a 14-character reference that starts with the letter S followed by 13 digits - for example S1234567890123. You receive it on-screen and via SMS after placing an Aadhaar PVC card order on the myAadhaar portal.

How long does the Aadhaar PVC card take to arrive?
UIDAI prints and hands over the card to India Post within 5 working days of the order. Delivery via Speed Post usually takes another few days depending on your location, so most cards reach the registered address within 5 to 15 working days.
What does "Print Retry" mean?
It means the printing of your card is being reattempted at the print facility. No action is needed from you - the status will move to "Print Completed" once printing succeeds, and the card is then handed over to India Post for dispatch.
Why did I receive a refund for my order?
If UIDAI is unable to process your order - for example due to a data validation issue - the order is cancelled and the ₹50 fee is refunded to your original payment method. You can place a fresh order on the myAadhaar portal afterwards.
Can I track the delivery after dispatch?
Yes. Once dispatched, the status includes an India Post Speed Post AWB number which can be tracked for doorstep delivery updates until the card reaches the address registered in your Aadhaar.

Status scans can lag a few hours behind the actual stage, especially between printing and dispatch. If the shipment is overdue or a recorded event requires action, contact the sender or carrier with the reference and last update.
Can I check my order without an SRN?
Track91 needs your exact 14-character SRN to fetch the status. If you have misplaced it, the SRN was sent to you by SMS when you placed the order and also appears in the invoice generated on the myAadhaar portal after payment.
