About EC Cargo

EC Cargo is a United Arab Emirates cargo operator handling consolidated freight and parcel consignments for business customers. Shipments are booked against an invoice number, and that number is what the public tracking page searches on. A lookup returns the item with its chargeable weight, its current stage and a dated history showing each status the consignment has passed through.

EC Cargo services

Consolidated cargo

Consignments are manifested at origin and held until a load is built, then moved as part of a larger shipment. The manifest entry is the first status on every timeline, and the time it stays as the newest one reflects how long consolidation takes rather than any problem with the consignment itself.

Transit and handling

Once despatched the consignment is published as in transit, and that status covers the movement between facilities. The chargeable weight recorded at booking stays with the item throughout and is shown alongside the timeline, which is the figure the invoice is raised against.

Final delivery

An out-for-delivery status marks the consignment being loaded for its delivery run, and a delivered status closes the timeline. Because cargo consignments are delivered to businesses rather than to doorsteps, the receiving party is usually a warehouse or office rather than the person who placed the order.

Invoice-based booking

EC Cargo keys everything on the invoice number rather than on a separate waybill barcode, so the reference used to track a consignment is the same one it is billed under. That makes the tracking page useful for reconciling a shipment against its paperwork as well as for following its progress.

Finding your EC Cargo invoice number

EC Cargo invoice numbers are four letters followed by six digits, for example ABCD123456, which is a generic illustration rather than a real consignment. The reference is printed on the cargo invoice and on the paperwork travelling with the shipment. Because this shape is common across the industry, Track91 does not offer EC Cargo as an automatic suggestion; pick the courier from the list and the lookup runs normally.

Expected transit times

Three to ten days covers most consignments, with the lane and the service booked accounting for the spread. The longest single wait is usually between the manifest entry and the first transit status, because that gap is consolidation rather than movement. Once a consignment is in transit the remaining stages tend to follow within a few days. History rows carry no offset, so Track91 reads them in Gulf Standard Time, which matches the UTC timestamp the carrier publishes in the item header.

Reading EC Cargo statuses

Each history row carries a numeric status id alongside a label, and the id is the stable half, so Track91 maps it first and reads the label only for ids it has not seen. Labels are stored inconsistently, half as prose and half as snake_case tokens, so a row filed as In_transit is shown as In transit. Manifested, in transit, out for delivery and delivered are the four stages almost every consignment passes through.

Getting help with an EC Cargo consignment

EC Cargo contracts with the business that booked the consignment, so that account is the right first contact and the only party able to open a trace or amend a delivery. Quote the invoice number, since it is the reference the carrier files everything under. Track91 independently displays the published history and cannot redirect a consignment, change a delivery date or settle a claim.

Frequently Asked Questions

Help with EC Cargo tracking, delays and deliveries. Select a question to read the answer.

How do I track an EC Cargo consignment?

Choose EC Cargo on Track91 and enter the invoice number printed on the cargo paperwork. The timeline shows each stage the consignment has reached, from being manifested at origin through transit to the final delivery run.

What format does an EC Cargo invoice number use?

Invoice numbers are four letters followed by six digits, for example ABCD123456. The letters identify the booking account or route rather than the destination. Copy the reference exactly, with no spaces, as it is printed on the invoice.

Why does EC Cargo not appear as a suggestion when I paste a number?

Four letters and six digits is a shape many carriers use, so offering EC Cargo as a guess would be unreliable. Choose it from the courier list instead and the lookup will run normally.

How long does an EC Cargo consignment take?

Three to ten days is typical, and the spread depends on the lane and the service booked. Longer gaps usually sit between the consignment being manifested and the first transit scan, which is where consolidation happens.

Why is my EC Cargo tracking stuck on "Manifested"?

Manifested means the consignment is registered and awaiting despatch rather than moving. On consolidated cargo it is normal for this to be the newest status for several days while the load is built. The next scan appears once the consignment is actually in transit.

Why is the customer name hidden on the timeline?

EC Cargo publishes the customer name with the consignment, but Track91 masks personal details by default rather than republishing them. The shipment still tracks normally; only the name is obscured.

What time zone are EC Cargo scan times in?

History rows are filed in the operator's local clock with no offset published, so Track91 reads them as Gulf Standard Time. The header timestamp the carrier publishes in UTC agrees with that reading.

Is Track91 affiliated with EC Cargo?

No. Track91 is an independent tracking service displaying published shipment events. EC Cargo remains responsible for carriage, documentation and customer enquiries. Contact the sender or EC Cargo directly about delivery problems.
