About Dakota Cargo

Dakota Cargo is the expedition arm of PT Dakota Buana Semesta, part of the Dakota Group alongside Dakota Logistik and Dakota Lintas Buana, with its head office in Jati Asih, Bekasi. It runs a branch and agent network across Indonesia, moving consignments between provinces under a BTT consignment number. Its public tracker publishes the full travel history for that number: every transit branch, the city holding the cargo, the manifest it travelled on, and the delivery entry naming who accepted it.

Dakota Cargo services

Agent intake and BTT issue

Consignments enter through an agent, which creates the BTT and records the destination address in the first tracking entry. That opening line names both the agent and the full delivery address, which is why it is worth reading even when later entries are more interesting: it confirms the shipment on screen is the one you sent.

Transit branch network

Between origin and destination, cargo passes through transit branches such as the specialist transit divisions at Legundi, Jatiasih and elsewhere. Each leg is recorded twice, once leaving for the next branch and once arriving there, so the route is visible step by step. The departure entry names where the cargo is heading before it gets there.

Last-mile delivery

At the destination branch the consignment is issued to a delivery officer, recorded with the officer's run reference, and then handed over. The closing entry states who received it, often with a signature marker. Collection from the branch is also possible for larger consignments, arranged through the branch holding the cargo.

Tariff and claim verification

Dakota publishes tariff checking, branch lookup and claim guidance beside its tracker, and warns customers that it never requests payment to a personal bank account. Its own site offers a BTT verification tool for confirming the shipping, packing and insurance charges actually recorded against a consignment, which is the right place to check a disputed fee.

Finding your Dakota BTT number

The BTT number is printed on the consignment note handed over at the sending agent and is usually repeated in the sender's confirmation message. It is nine digits, a single letter and six further digits, for example 123456789A000123, a generic illustration rather than a real consignment. Enter it without spaces and keep every leading zero. Entries in the history also quote an SP number, which is the internal manifest the cargo travelled on rather than a reference you can track.

Expected transit times

Most inter-provincial consignments finish within two to seven days. The number of transit branches on the route matters more than the straight-line distance, because each one adds a load and an unload. Cargo can also wait at a branch for a truck with suitable capacity. Read the newest entry: the position column names the city holding the cargo, and a departure entry tells you which branch it is heading to next.

Reading Dakota Cargo statuses

Barang Dibuatkan BTT Oleh records the agent creating the consignment. Barang Berangkat (Transit) Ke is a departure toward the branch it names, with the position column reading Dalam Perjalanan. Barang Sampai (Transit) di is the matching arrival, and the position column then names the city. Barang Diloper Oleh Petugas means a delivery officer has the cargo, and Barang Diterima Oleh closes the record with the receiving person. Dakota prints that person's name on its own page; Track91 treats it as personal data and keeps it hidden.

Contacting Dakota Cargo

Dakota publishes (021) 8224548, WhatsApp +62 811 8989 770 and [email protected], with its head office at Jl. Wibawa Mukti II No. 8, Jati Asih, Bekasi. Quote the BTT number and the branch named in the newest entry. The company warns that it never asks for payment into a personal account and advises verifying charges through its official BTT verification tool. Track91 independently displays the published history and cannot redirect cargo, arrange collection or settle a claim.

Frequently Asked Questions

Help with Dakota Cargo tracking, delays and deliveries. Select a question to read the answer.

How do I track a Dakota Cargo shipment?

Select Dakota Cargo on Track91 and enter the BTT number from your consignment note. The timeline lists each transit branch with its date and the city holding the cargo, and ends with the delivery entry naming who accepted the shipment.

What format does a Dakota Cargo BTT number use?

A BTT number is nine digits, a single letter and six more digits, for example 123456789A000123. Enter it exactly as printed on the consignment note, without spaces and keeping every leading zero. The SP number shown inside some entries is an internal manifest reference, not the BTT.

How long does Dakota Cargo delivery take?

Cargo between Indonesian provinces usually takes two to seven days, because it is routed through one or more transit branches before reaching the destination city. A consignment travelling within one region arrives sooner. The branch named in the newest entry shows how far it has come.

Why is my Dakota Cargo tracking not updating?

Entries are written when cargo is loaded or unloaded at a branch, so nothing appears while a truck is on the road. A quiet day or two between a departure and the next arrival is normal on long routes. Contact Dakota if the expected period has passed with no movement.

Do I need the sender phone digits to see Dakota tracking?

No. The travel history is public and Track91 reads it directly. The four phone digits Dakota asks for on its own site only unlock the separate detail panel holding sender and recipient information, which is not needed to follow where the cargo is.

Can I track Dakota Cargo without the BTT number?

No. The BTT number is required. It is printed on the consignment note issued at the sending agent and usually repeated in the sender confirmation. Track91 cannot search by recipient name, address or telephone number, so ask the sender for the reference.

What should I do about a delayed Dakota Cargo shipment?

Read the newest entry to see which branch holds the cargo, then call Dakota on (021) 8224548 or email [email protected] with the BTT number and that branch. Dakota also warns customers to pay only through official company accounts, never a personal one.

Is Track91 affiliated with Dakota Cargo?

No. Track91 is an independent tracking service showing published shipment events. Dakota Cargo, operated by PT Dakota Buana Semesta, remains responsible for handling and customer enquiries. Contact the company or the sending agent about address changes, collection, claims and proof of delivery.
